Learn how to craft engaging radio segments that effectively communicate complex themes like "Humanity, if yes, why?" through compelling narratives and creative scripting.

Journalistic Techniques

Gain hands-on experience in conducting interviews, researching topics, and producing insightful content that addresses pressing questions about human nature and artistic expression.

Technical Proficiency

Develop skills in radio production, including mastering studio equipment, editing audio, and ensuring high-quality broadcasts that captivate and inform your audience.

And because a human is human, ... radio as theater of the mind, entertainer, and a shift in perspective.

The future of a vibrant and humanistic community largely depends on how the density, intensity, and diversity of communication between different actors and institutions evolve.

The radio workshop aims to explore the thematic focus of the return festival, "Humanity, if so, why...," by questioning it and encouraging others to reflect and engage in conversation through a radio broadcast.

In the workshop, participants will develop a corresponding broadcasting concept and learn about radio production possibilities and editorial formats. Moderation and interview techniques will also be covered, along with studio and editing skills. The individual elements will be combined into a radio show, which will be aired at the end.

Workshop Leader

Detlef Fengler

Detlef Fengler continuously explores the creative possibilities of community radio. Whether through the interplay of a "Monopoly on air" with neighboring cities, media policy workshops at schools, or as part of the series "Weimar liegt an Meer" in various European Capitals of Culture, his guiding principle remains: "Radio belongs where it is listened to," and he's been doing this for 25 years.
