The land of milk and honey (also known as “La Cuccagna”) became reality in baroque Italy: edible monuments were erected during the carnival season and plundered by the citizens. Architecture, culinary art and sensuality clashed with greed and violence. „La Cuccagna“ delves into this bizarre chapter of history and depicts humanity's recurring indulgence in violent excess – an issue that is more relevant than ever today.

Jonas Leon Maus
Jonas Maus was born on March 25, 1999. From earliest childhood, he has been involved with film, music, and photography. After graduating from the Pestalozzi Gymnasium in Munich with a focus on the arts, he worked as an assistant director, produced his own short films, and released albums of instrumental music. He was trained as a communication designer at the Fashion and Design School in Munich. In addition to his film and music works, he works as an art director and motion designer in the advertising industry and performs as an actor at the Bavarian State Opera.
