Description

It’s 1789. While in Paris the revolution promises to liberate the people, young Cornelia is trapped in her patriarchal home in rural Germany. She decides to risk it all, as she flees from home to pay a stranger to marry her and take her to Paris in pursuit of a life in freedom. As she meets her future husband, Cornelia discovers that the revolution is not meant for everybody - so she must break free once more. But this time at a much higher cost.

Wouter Wirth

Wouter is a dutch-german writer, director and multimedia artist. After finishing his studies in Literature and Philosophy in Munich and Amsterdam, Wouter worked as an editor and curator of art shows on Stanley Kubrick’s early photography in Venice and Moscow. In 2023 Wouter finishes his studies in directing for fiction at HFF Munich. In his films Wouter explores the complexity of identities and relationships and tries to find new perspectives to get a fresh view on common discourse. His web series MILIZ! has won numerous awards.
